Colossians 4:6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
In our daily lives, the kind of words we speak is the first pointer to who we are.
People seem to conclude on us immediately they hear us speak. Some are drawn to us and some away, depending on our speech.
It's at this juncture that the Lord admonishes us to speak words full of grace and seasoned with salt.
For our words to be full of grace, it means it is full of God's power for exploits.
Thus, anything we say must not contradict the principle of kingdom grace.
Salt is the single most important seasoning of any food. Our words should include the ingredients of God's word and salvation.
It's better to keep silent than to speak words that are not edifying. Speak to deliver, not to destroy.
Let's pray together.
Heavenly Father, thank you for how far you brought us. Please help us to remain steadfast in our words, in Jesus name. Amen.
