Colossians 2:13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Blessed be the name of the Lord, who has quicken us to sit with Him in heavenly places.
The quickening became necessary because we were dead in sin. This death means a spiritual separation from the presence of God.
It's important to note that sin is the single separating agent that puts enmity between God and man.
Thus those that desire a consistent fellowship with God must embrace a consistent life of holiness in all conversation and actions.
The flesh is the rebellious agent and as such should not be allowed to decide what we do or say. The human desires are uncircumcised and should be crucified.
Brethren, God is a forgiving Father and all that comes to Him are justified in Christ. Don't allow your past mistakes to hunt you, there's justification in Christ.

Dear Father, thank you for forgiving us and bringing us justification through Christ. Please help us to live in holiness till the end, in Jesus name. Amen.
