1 Thessalonians 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
The giving of thanks to the Almighty God is a show of appreciation for the good things He has done.
It follows that giving of thanks is the will of God for us, according to our gospel, which means that if we don't give Him thanks we are not doing His will.
It's amazing here, because God has given an avenue to thank Him without limitations. He said in all things.
Are you discouraged that the business didn't work out as planned despite all your prayers and fasting? Give thanks.
Are you annoyed that the relationship ended in betrayal, despite all the assurance from men of God? Give thanks.
Are you struggling in the marriage after three years of bliss? Give thanks.
Are you already losing your mind because everything has scattered in your life? Give thanks.
Don't select the time to give thanks or in what to give thanks. In all things give thanks.
Brethren, thanksgiving is what we are doing in fulfillment of God's will for us and not because we are successful. Thanksgiving is a command from God and we must obey.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the privilege to be vessels of thanksgiving in your hands. Please give us the courage to thank you even in the storms, in Jesus name. Amen.
