Proverbs 22:29 Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.
God created us to be involved in something useful, in order to contribute positively to posterity.
It's important to understand that the things we do are to be done with every amount of diligence and seriousness, because failue to do it well is a disappointment to people and God.
In order to stand out among men, we must do what we do with all our hearts as though we are doing it for God.
Our jobs, career, academic pursuits, marriage, relationship, service to God, all need diligence.
It's possible to miss our opportunities because of laziness, God forbid. Nobody wants to favor the unserios, even the lazy one hates to favor the lazy.
As everyone seeks to associate with the successful, we must be diligent in our chosen craft, in order to stand before the great. When God sees our hearts He'll bring those that will favor us.
Make a choice to do more today, it's not too late to become the best in what you do.

Heavenly Father, thank you for your word today. Please help us to be consistent and diligent in everything we do, in Jesus name. Amen.
