Dear friends and brothers, good night to all of you, God save your lives in the name of Jesus Christ amen, your time is valuable to this server, so I deeply thank the @Hearthchurch community and all its participants who day by day make life in this great team with almost 4000 subscribers, who read, comment on all @jeanglou publications.
One of the men who undoubtedly stood out in the history of all times was Jesus, but there were also some lesser than him, mortal men with a faith like the mustard seed, therefore they went to places of honor for God, leaving us thus example to follow, his victories and defeats which are narrated in the Bible. Many are the characters, today I chose Abram (later called Abraham), a man with defects like any other, he had a wife, possessions, but the characteristic of this man were two things: his obedience to God and his behavior when he got somewhere .
Abram built altars as a symbol of establishing and honoring the presence of the Lord in certain places, there were several places where this man decided to raise places of praise to the true God, let's observe the following quote:
Genesis 12: 6-9 Reina-Valera 1960 Version
6 And Abram passed through that land to the place of Shechem, to the oak of Moreh; and the Canaanite was then in the land.
7 And the Lord appeared to Abram, and said, To your descendants I will give this land. And he built an altar there to Jehovah, who had appeared to him.
8 Then he went from there to a mountain to the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel to the west and Ai to the east; and there he built an altar to the Lord, and called on the name of the Lord.
9 And Abram left there, walking and going toward the Negev.
Once he arrived somewhere, he did not hesitate to offer sacrifices to God, although today the burnt offerings and peace offerings or some rite of ancient times are not in force, we can learn several things from this biblical portion:
• Honor God everywhere
• Live life in a way that is pleasing to the Lord
• Talk about what Jesus has done in us
• Establish places where the Bible is read and meditated
• Make our testimony shine to bring souls to the feet of Jesus Christ.
These are some of the many teachings that we can extract and take for ourselves, with our effort and humiliation we can achieve it, the Holy Spirit will help us in our weakness to make us act in holiness and honor to the creator, we will have the necessary strength to continue fighting, for However hard the fight is, the father will support you as he supported Abram so that today he will be an example to follow as a man in the word of God.
