1 SAMUEL 16:7
7 And Jehovah answered Samuel: Do not look at his appearance, nor at the greatness of his stature, because I reject him; Because Jehovah does not look at what man looks at; For man looks at what is before his eyes, but Jehovah looks at the heart.
Certainly we have to take care of our appearance. How also to have good habits, but we must have (cultivate) a good heart.
God is God of hearts, He does not look at the outside of a person or the things that person does, nor does He judge the person with that criteria. Men judge according to the flesh, but God judges according to the heart.
It is possible to have a good appearance (facade), but have an impure heart, also that we are dealing with some problems or bad habits on the outside, but have a right heart on the inside.
God is more inclined to use people with a good heart and some problems than to use people who appear perfect on the outside but have an evil heart.
It is important that we connect with our interior and with the attitudes of our heart. Our motivations. Thoughts and feelings must agree with the heart of God. Having a pure heart is vital in all aspects of our lives and for God. Let's take an inventory of our most intimate thoughts and attitudes, and work with the Holy Spirit, to allow the attitudes and thoughts of Jesus to come alive in us.
