As traditions demand no female is entitled to the father's heritage, this girls having known the history of the father and all his heritage were asked not to talk because in those days no female was given the right to speak not to talk of arguing words with the elders of israel. When it was time that their father's heritage was to be shared, instead of it been shared between the girls was rather to be given to the male children of the extended family but being that they knew their right stood in the counsel of elders and said "we will not accept our inheritance be given to those who doesn't fit."
