Posiblemente David estaba pensando ahora en su regreso a Jerusalén y al santuario.Para él la casa de Dios no era sencillamente algo para la eternidad, sino una realidad presente. estaba pensando en una vida inmortal en la vivienda celestial de Dios. Sin embargo la expresión es asumida por el cristiano con su mirada puesta en la "casa del Padre".

Ésa es la meta última finalmente de nuestra peregrinación en la tierra. La fe, con los ojos puestos en tan glorioso destino, ha sostenido y alentado a innumerables creyentes en el momento de su muerte.Qué poder tan mágico abarca la palabra hogar Y ¿qué es lo cual provoca que sea tan amada?
Lo cual nos mueve a desear la casa de Dios es prácticamente el deseo de estar en la existencia de Dios y entrar en su reposo.

No olvidemos que somos invitados a su casa no como un visitante que está de paso, sino como hijos que formamos parte de su casa.
