Emotions 😊😒 make us human, and we have to learn how to express them. Emotion is a strong feeling derived from one's circumstances, mood, or relationship with others. Even God wants us to demolish unnecessary emotion bottling. Matt. 6:6(MSG) - "Here's what I want you to do: Find a quiet, secluded so you won't be tempted to role-play before God. Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage. The focus will shift from you to God, and you will begin to sense his grace."

The above verse makes mention of "role-play". To role-play in this context is to act like something you're not. This is equal to always hiding our emotions and forever trying to put up something else. 😑 No! We don't have to do that! We must not block all the avenues, channels, and pathways of emotion expression. But we can do this one: control our emotions, refuse to be thoroughly preoccupied by them, because "runaway emotions corrode the bones" (Prov. 14:30 MSG).

Role-playing doesn't help most of the time! Sometimes, we need to come out plain. Express that feeling of joy, brokenness, anger, happiness, discomfort. ✌ Too much of bottling is unhealthy. Speak up. First, to God (just as it is), and then to someone whom you can share it with.

Engage honesty. God created you. Stop trying to practise your principles on Him. Tell him about your fears. "God, I'm afraid 😶 of going close to James. His presence alone awakens sexual feelings. Please help me." "I always feel too unworthy and undeserving for your plans for me. Lord, strengthen my heart." Pour it all out. That's the first step in getting help.
