Many times we are distracted, absorbed in our things or occupations and neglect the most important thing, our communion with God to strengthen ourselves in all the situations that we have to cross or live.
It is inevitable to think that we are not going to go through adverse situations because when they come obviously that we are not going to know how to handle them but if we really scrutinize the scriptures we know that perhaps some stronger than others will always be present.
Today the world is surprised by the current reality that is being lived in more than a hundred countries and that has also reached our country, Venezuela, where many think they are really living a nightmare. However, there is a people that must be aware and trust in God even in the middle of the storm, no matter how strong it is.
The Bible tells us in the book of Acts 27 the story of a storm that hit Paul on one of his missionary trips to Rome where the following is related:
Acts 27: 17-23
17 And once aboard, they used reinforcements to secure the ship; and being afraid to hit the Sirte, they lowered the sails and were left adrift.
18 But being fought by a raging storm, the next day they began to lighten,
19 and on the third day with our own hands we throw the rigging of the ship.
20 And with neither sun nor stars appearing for many days, and beset by a no small storm, we had already lost all hope of saving ourselves.
21 Then Paul, since we had not eaten for a long time, standing in their midst, said: It would have been fitting, O men, to have heard me, and not set sail from Crete only to receive this injury and loss.
22 But now I urge you to be of good cheer, for there will be no loss of life among you, but only of the ship.
23 For tonight the angel of the God of whom I am and whom I serve has been with me.

When God is in the midst of storms everything changes and it is a promise that we have to believe, we have to have conviction of the God we serve and to whom we belong, we are not alone in this world nor abandoned to our destiny God is with us and will free us from any storm.
