The Bible tells us in this psalm the following:
Psalms 31
In you, Jehovah, I have trusted; may I never be confused;
Deliver me in your justice.
2 Incline your ear to me, deliver me soon;
Be thou my strong rock, and fortress to save me.
3 Because you are my rock and my castle;
By your name you will guide me and guide me.
4 Take me out of the net that you have hidden for me,
Well you are my refuge.
5 In your hand I commit my spirit;
You have redeemed me, O Jehovah, God of truth.
6 I abhor those who wait in illusory vanities;
But I in Jehovah have waited.
7 I will rejoice and be glad in your mercy,
Because you have seen my affliction;
You have known my soul in anguish.
(RV1960)
This psalm presents the trust of the human soul in God in the midst of pain in the midst of tears and in the midst of affliction until reaching victory until Jesus himself used the words quoted in verse 5 when he says: "into your hand I commend my spirit "And do you know why Jesus did it? He did it demonstrating a trust because Jesus quoted these words of extreme trust in God when dying on the cross
These words slide into a plea to be freed from the anguish and persecution that seem to follow the righteous but we can also see that the eye of faith sees that both the times of tribulation and the times of triumph are in the hand of God.
Everything is in the hands of God and he has kept his goodness his rewards for those who fear him and for those who hope in him Jesus confirms it in Matthew 5:11, 12 and blessed are all who have entered into the rest of the Lord

Jehovah is my strength
