Look at the title, you might start to wonder how an individual can persecute a case and be compassionate at the same time. This is ironic because on the normal ground a prosecutor is expected to press the case for the law to have its full course.
Who then is this fellow calls prosecutor who managed to prosecute and show compassion at the same time? The Lord Jesus Christ answered this question in John 16:8. The person He alludes to is the Holy Spirit.
In light of this revelation of the Lord, let us consider the there-pronged procedure by which the Holy Spirit carries His task of indicting the world. Note first of all that it is out of compassion that motivates the Holy Spirit to indict the world while there is still time to make things right.
A time will certainly come when the entire world will stand before the throne of Christ to be judge on their works. There will be no excuses allowed on that day, on the grounds that the Compassionate Prosecutor would already give each man a dress practical of what will occur in heaven's court.
The first of the Holy Spirit's three-pronged techniques is to make the world mindful of the dangerous idea of sin and cause each and everybody to flee from it.
This is the reason the individuals who preach the gospel should permit the Holy Spirit to use them to read the "revolt act" to their audience and not avoid the truth of the forthcoming destruction that awaiting the people who won't believe in or accept the Holy Savior of humankind.
The early Apostle permitted the Holy Spirit to accomplish this work through them and an example of the outcome is glaring in Acts 2:37:
The second arm of His technique is to make the world see the need to be righteous in heart, and the need to be in the right position with the Almighty God through the Mediator of the new covenant which is Jesus Christ.
Thirdly, the Holy Spirit attempts to make the world mindful of the judgment and punishment that anticipates Satan and his accomplices. He does this so men might be wary about paying attention to Satan and avoid being condemned alongside him.
The Compassionate Prosecutor speaks the truth to everyone people who will tune in and be liberated from the eternal consequences of God's judgment. How friendly are you with the Holy Spirit and do you consider him friendly?
Do you just cherish Him since He comforts you in a time of distress, or do you still love him when He investigates your life and reproves you? I urge you to make the Holy Spirit your Senior Partner, Guide, Mentor, and Confidant; He won't ever lead you astray
