Life is full of complex difficulties which can sometimes be overwhelming. These difficulties have frustrated some individuals to the degree that they surrender all expectations regarding life itself. Leading them to take drugs, join the secret society, or even commuting suicide, just to get away from the reality of life's issues.
Our Lord Jesus Christ didn't say we would be insusceptible from hardships of life; rather He gave us the armor with which we can stand up to and win overall that the foe throws at us. To be victorious throughout everyday life, you need to first understand that lives most destroying fights are not physical, but rather spiritual. Challenges that have their origin in the spirit realm have to be faced with spiritual instruments, which may seem absurd to the regular man. To help us victorious, Ephesians 6:14 presents two significant parts of our armor: Truth and Righteousness.
A life of truth is a straightforward and honest life that depends on the word of God, which Jesus announced to be the truth. Carrying on with a life of truth is powerful. Lies of any kind are of Satan, thus when you live a lie, the enemy will have a foothold in your life with which to torment you.
However, if your life depends on the reality of God's word, the enemy will find nothing in your life to use as a way to oppose you. This was the case with our Lord Jesus Christ on the night he was sold out. Satan came to inspect His life if to be sure He was without transgression before going to the cross of Calvary, so he could blame Him for it.
Thanks be to God Jesus had truth in His armor of truth and righteousness and there was no lie in Him. The breastplate of righteousness is another significant part of our armor.
Righteousness is a gift that places us in the right position with God and derives a life of uprightness in us. Having gotten the endowment of righteousness, we are empowered to do the work of righteousness. Remaining upon and working in Christ's righteousness overcomes every fury of the enemy against us.
