Have you notice that each time you are going through tough times, God doesn’t immediately change the circumstances but uses the circumstances to first change us.
Even though God has promised to deliver us from our troubles, it won’t be according to our time or how we want it. God doesn't work in minutes, hours, and days; He works in seasons.
Oftentimes the word through is used in Scriptures. The Israelites had to go through the Red Sea, through the wilderness, and through the Jordan River to get to the Promised Land. This is similar to what we have to go through sometimes in order to achieve success.
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. Isaiah 43:2
Just like a refiner knows how long the ore must stay in the fire to produce gold or the potter who knows how long the clay must stay on the wheel to become a thing of value and beauty, so does God know exactly when to come into our situations.
You might not see it now but when you finally get through whatever it is you are going through, you'll look back and thank Him for the things He has done. Remember that while working for you, God is working in you.
PRAYER
Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me. Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me, in the name of Jesus name (Psalm 3:4).
