Many people when they have difficult times also make efforts to seek help from someone or something because they feel they need to resolve situations that are overwhelming them.
However, the Bible shows us the solution to all our adversities not so that they are never present but so that when they occur we can truly take refuge in the only one who can help us in these adverse times.
Psalm 18.2-3
2 The Lord is my rock, my refuge, my deliverer; it is my God, the rock in which I take refuge. It is my shield, the power that saves me, my highest hiding place! 3 I call on the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I am safe from my enemies.
(NIV)
God has established inviolable promises in his word to fulfill them in all those who can believe him because he himself said to his disciples "if you can believe, everything is possible to him who believes." If we have to understand something, it is that adversities will always be present in life and that there are adversities that we ourselves can face and resolve, but generally not all will be like this, because in some way many will lead us to experience our insufficiency to face and overcome them, there precisely where we must take refuge in God.
Surely David wrote this psalm in one of those moments of adversity that he faced where he could understand that God was his rock, his shelter, his deliverer and his only hiding place in which he could take refuge in those circumstantial times of his life.
Today you and I can rest in this promise. My friend and friend for God there is nothing impossible he established it from eternity so that we could have a safe haven an unshakable hope in difficult times and really that is my hope to know that in the midst of the problem without an answer in the midst of adversity and hopelessness God is more than enough to give us the rest we need to continue in life.
If you feel distressed, tired, sad, if you think that you can no longer continue, and that you do not have the strength to continue, God can give you what you need today. Raise your gaze to God, see him for what he is, the almighty, the restorer of souls, the strong, the great I am, the invisible that makes all things possible and that today can do great things in your life.
How beautiful it is to know where to take refuge in time of adversity! Having conviction that God is your refuge in all times and much more in difficult times will give you the opportunity to rest and look at adversity in a different way because you know that you are not alone but that God will go with you in each step of the life time
This scripture rings so much alarm in my heart assuring me that i have a rock that stands as my defense.
thanks for taking time to write this faith raising masterpiece.
