Psalm 23:1-3 (1)
The LORD is my shepherd. I shall not want.
A shepherd tends for the sheep, while the green pasture is their dwelling place. Indeed, a caring shepherd would position the sheep where they continuously get refreshed. For example, the parable of the lost sheep in Luke 15:1-7 makes it clear that God cares intimately for each of His sheep, regardless of their numbers.
No wonder Apostle Paul testified to the sureness of God’s ability to provide all our desires (Philippians 4:19).
Brethren, do you know that none of God’s genuine children will get deprived of these blessings? (Proverbs 13:25). Even when the world is raging, the sheep will experience peace and a sound mind (John 14:27).
However, there is a requirement to qualify as a sheep. Hebrews 13:20-21 indicates that Jesus, the great shepherd, will equip those who do His will with good things. If you obey God’s commands, you are a sheep who shares in His glory.
