In today's video, we explore the profound concept of faith in Christianity and its vital role in a believer's life.
Faith Towards God:
Christianity centers on faith, emphasizing that actions without faith are sinful: “But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; FOR WHATEVER IS NOT FROM FAITH IS SIN” (Romans 14:23). Faith means believing in God's Word and acting on it. Whatever God has said should be believed and acted upon (Hebrews 11:1).
Importance of Faith:
Faith for Salvation:
We are saved by faith, not by works, to prevent boasting. Believing that Jesus died for our sins and was resurrected for our justification is crucial. When you confess this belief with your mouth, you are saved (Romans 4:25; 10:9,10).
Faith for Living:
The just shall live by faith. Faith goes beyond mere mental agreement with Christian teachings. True faith involves heartfelt conviction in God's Word and acting upon it. We are called to live by faith, which means practicing what we believe (Hebrews 11:1).
Faith as a Gift of the Spirit:
Faith is also a gift of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:9). This special faith, given by the Holy Spirit, enables miracles to occur. The Holy Spirit removes doubts and fills us with faith to make things happen in the moment.
