A CHILD OF DESTINY

1. Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem,
2. saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? FOR WE HAVE SEEN HIS STAR IN THE EAST AND HAVE COME TO WORSHIP HIM.”
3. WHEN HEROD THE KING HEARD THIS, HE WAS TROUBLED, and all Jerusalem with him.
4. And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, HE INQUIRED OF THEM WHERE THE CHRIST WAS TO BE BORN.
5. So they said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written by the prophet:
6. ‘But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, Are not the least among the rulers of Judah; FOR OUT OF YOU SHALL COME A RULER WHO WILL SHEPHERD MY PEOPLE ISRAEL.’ ”

• You are born with a Star, you are not ordinary, you are on the Earth to fulfil a purpose.

• Jesus' star was a threat to the enemy—the devil and those who want to do his Bidding.
  LIKEWISE your star as a believer is a threat to the enemy of the people of God, the devil.
  IT should not be a surprise to you that some who have yielded to the devil do not want you to fulfil your purpose.
• Herod sought for the life of Baby Jesus, he wanted to kill Him: "Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “ARISE, TAKE THE YOUNG CHILD AND HIS MOTHER, FLEE TO EGYPT, and stay there until I bring you word; FOR HEROD WILL SEEK THE YOUNG CHILD TO DESTROY HIM” (Matthew 2:13).

• Some are restless because of the glory of your Star 💫: "There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; FOR ONE STAR DIFFERS FROM ANOTHER STAR IN GLORY" (1 Corinthians 15:41).
• Those who want to fulfil the plans of the devil are looking for facts, information about you, to get you down, that you may not fulfil your purpose (Matthew 2:4-6,16).

• You are a child of destiny, you cannot afford to be carefree about your Christian Life.

• You have to grow in your relationship with God that you may have access to divine directions.
• God leads those who are meek, those who give Him a place in their lives (Psalm 25:9; Revelation 3:20).
• Your access to information from God makes you not a prey in the hand of the enemy (Matthew 2:13).
• The plans of the enemy would not succeed over your Life, only if you pay attention to your fellowship with God—you receive directions, information, and Instructions in the place of fellowship with God.
• God used dreams to guide Joseph on how to move and what to do per time in order to preserve the life of Baby Jesus and the mother (Matthew 2:13-15,19-23).
• Every good prophecy about your Life shall come to fulfilment If you cooperate with God in your relationship with Him.

• Be sincere with God in your Christian Life, let people see God in you, do not be hypocritical in your Christian walk.

• God expected you to bear good fruit, the tree that does not bear good fruit is chopped down: "And even now the ax is laid to the root of the trees. THEREFORE EVERY TREE WHICH DOES NOT BEAR GOOD FRUIT IS CUT DOWN AND THROWN INTO THE FIRE" (Matthew 3:10).
• Allow the Holy Spirit to help and guide you, He resides on the inside of you, that is the essence of His being with you (John 14:16-18,26; 15:26; 16:13-15).
  HE is our Senior partner: the Comforter, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Counsellor, Strengthener, and Standby (John 15:26).
• Let fasting and praying be part of your life, you cannot do much without it. Paul said: "... IN FASTINGS OFTEN..." (2 Corinthians 11:27).

• Know that If you want to walk without compromise you will be challenged, have confrontations from the the kingdom of darkness—the devil and his cohorts: "YES, AND ALL WHO DESIRE TO LIVE GODLY IN CHRIST JESUS WILL SUFFER PERSECUTION" (2 Timothy 3:12).
• Your Life is precious, guard It, know your kingdom rights, and deal with the enemy—the devil (Proverbs 4:23).
  YOU cannot afford to be carefree, frivolous, and allow the devil to destroy your life and destiny.
  YOUR life is precious, you have a purpose to fulfil, THUS defend it with the spiritual weapons given to you by God.

• Jesus came to fulfil purpose, likewise you as a believer.
WHOEVER has come to the knowledge of Christ is a child of destiny and such has a purpose to fulfil.

• Discover God's purpose for your Life in His kingdom on Earth.
• You are saved for a purpose, you have to discover it that you may fulfil it.
  YOU should be part of kingdom building on EARTH.
• Win souls for Christ, give hope to the hopeless, deliver the oppressed, and set those who are in bondage free through the preaching and teaching of the Word of God (Isaiah 1:17; James 1:27).
• If you are genuinely born-again, THEN you are the light of the world, and your light should shine wherever you find yourself:
  14 “YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, AND IT GIVES LIGHT TO ALL WHO ARE IN THE HOUSE. 16 LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE BEFORE MEN, THAT THEY MAY SEE YOUR GOOD WORKS AND GLORIFY YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN" (Matthew 5:14-16).
• Be a light to those who sit in darkness through your lifestyle—your ways and manners of living (Isaiah 1:2).
• It gladdens God's heart if a believer walks in obedience to His Word, and be a light to draw others out of darkness (2 Corinthians 5:18-20).
• Christian living is all about walking with God, you serve God to know Him, fellowship with Him, and be intimate with Him.
• You do not claim you are serving God, when you only do because of what you want to get from Him.
• You are saved, delivered from sin, called out of darkness to fellowship with Him, and show forth His glory (1 Peter 2:9).

"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."
Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)

• The kingdom of God and His righteousness are superior to whatever in the world you might be in need of.
• You are existing for kingdom purposes, God would have taken the believers who accepted Jesus as Lord and Saviour the moment they did, If not for the propagation of His Kingdom on earth.

• As a child of destiny, you have an assignment to fulfil on planet earth.
DISCOVER your purpose in God's kingdom on earth and fulfil it (Colossians 4:17).

• Pay more attention to your relationship with God than the pursuance of material things.
  WHEN you get God in your Life, you have His presence in your Life, this will help you in every area of your Life.
  NO SUCCESS without God! Be serious with your Christian LIFE!
