- "Then he [Samson] became very thirsty; so he cried out to the LORD and said, "YOU HAVE GIVEN THIS GREAT DELIVERANCE BY THE HAND OF YOUR SERVANT; AND NOW SHALL I DIE OF THIRST AND FALL INTO THE HAND OF THE UNCIRCUMCISED?"
- So God split the hollow place that is in Lehi [Jawbone], and water came out, and he drank; and his spirit returned, and he revived. Therefore he called its name EnHakkore [the Spring of the Caller], which is in Lehi to this day."
Judges 15:18,19 (NKJV)
• After a great feat, or the devastation of the kingdom of darkness, there always be a COUNTER-ATTACK from the devil.
- When you have had a major breakthrough, do not Rest and be off guard.
THE devil tends to launch attacks at the time of celebration of any major victory or success. - Do not let down your guard, be on your guard, the devil knows you will be off guard because of the euphoria of your success or victory—thus he would want to launch an attack.
- In Spiritual warfare strategies, after every major victory or success in Life or ministry, you need to prepare for a fightback from the kingdom of darkness, the devil.
THE devil would not fold his hands and be watching you as you are progressing, he would want to confront you in order to keep you back. - This is the reason why some breakthroughs, successes, progresses, and victories should not be shared before the appropriate time.
IF you are not ready for extra prayer and fasting, do not share your victory or success so soon.
• Attacks usually come at the time of celebration, because the devil knows you will be off guard At such a time.
- At this time of social media, people want to announce whatever success they have had, even the undone testimonies are shared on social media by some people.
ANY undone testimony shared, yet to be fully materialized testimony, may never become a reality, because the devil would want to stop it.
AND at times, the victory or success shared without precautions may provoke a COUNTER-ATTACK from the kingdom of darkness. - The attack brought by the devil after your victory or success is meant to spoil your Joy or testimony.
IT is a plan from hell to rubbish whatever God has done in your life, Or what He has done through you, Or Ministry (Acts 16:11-26). - Do not spread the news of your testimony without any preparation to pray.
• Elijah was also challenged by Jezebel after that great feat, When he killed four hundred Prophets of Baal.
1 And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, also how he had executed all the prophets with the sword.
2 Then Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah, saying, “So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I do not make your life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time.”
3 And when he saw that, he arose and ran for his life, and went to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there.
4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a broom tree. AND HE PRAYED THAT HE MIGHT DIE, and said, “It is enough! Now, LORD, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers!”
1 Kings 19:1-4 (NKJV)
- If you are God's vessel, an instrument in His hands, He will not allow the plan of the enemy to succeed in your life.
GOD knows how to make a way of escape for His servant or vessel who is loyal to Him—who is on the mission sent by Him (1 Corinthians 10:13).
LEARN how to trust God, call on Him at the time of distress. - Do not murmur, complain, wish yourself dead, or be embittered: "But he himself [Elijah] went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a broom tree. AND HE PRAYED THAT HE MIGHT DIE, and said, “It is enough! Now, LORD, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers!” (1 Kings 19:4).
• When you are distressed after a major breakthrough, you should know that it is a time to pray, not to be discouraged.
- Samson performed a great feat, and the enemy planned to destroy him through thirsting.
- He was devastated with thirsting after the victory over the Philistines who were oppressing the Israelites At the time (Judges 15:14-17).
SAMSON did call on God and was answered, God did cause water to gush out of a hollow to quench his thirst and he was revived (Judges 15:19). - God will answer you, if you can call At such a time.
ASK for His mercy and HELP!
• You will not fail in Jesus' name.
Peace!
