• Other factors for success
A. Mentoring
- As you progress in your God-given assignment, mentoring is extremely crucial—important to your Success.
- A mentor is someone who is ahead of you in the Lord, and the one who is ahead of you in your area of operations, or God-given assignment.
- Someone who has been in the future you desire, Who is willing to coach, counsel, and tutor you on how to get there.
- Someone who has the anointing which you need to move forward in your God-given assignment.
i. Business or Financial mentor - Business or financial mentor is someone who has gotten what you desired in your area of operations.
SUCH a person must have a right heart, be willing to tell and teach you how they got results in that field. Pray before you relate with anyone.
ii. Spiritual mentor - Spiritual mentor is someone who has the grace, the anointing, you need to move forward in your God-given assignment.
- Someone who's walk with God has been proven. WHO is approved by God and has the evidence and testimony for it.
- Such also should be someone who is willing to teach you the biblical principles for success, impart and extend the anointing of God on their lives to you, for the fulfillment in your assignment.
- Such should be able to stand with you in prayer and take spiritual oversight of your Life, and that of your Business or whatever you do.
YOU relate with him or her by receiving counsel and Impartation from such. - You also relate with your money, sowing seeds, material things: money or whatever to his or her life and ministry.
B. Giving
- Giving is another major factor in the school of success.
TO experience success, you must live Giving. It has to be part of your life.
LIFE is about Giving, we live to Give. If you stop Giving, you start dying. - There should be something you are radiating before you can attract (Luke 6:38).
YOUR level of attraction is determined by the level of your radiation—GIVING: "DO GOOD THINGS EVERYWHERE YOU GO. AFTER A WHILE THE GOOD YOU DO WILL RETURN TO HELP YOU" (Ecclesiastes 11:1 International Children Bible). - Your Giving should be consistent and sacrificial, not randomly and seldomly: "And let us NOT grow weary while doing good, FOR IN DUE SEASON WE SHALL REAP if we do NOT lose heart" (Galatians 6:9).
- Give that you may have speed in your assignment.
GIVING adds speed to your life and opens the windows of heaven on your behalf (Malachi 3:10).
IT stands as a means of deliverance, and God uses it to rebuke the devourer for your sake (Malachi 3:11).
IT opens doors of favour for you (Malachi 3:12). - Sow your seed with Joy and enthusiasm, not with grudges, for God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7).
DO not give with a wrong motive, give because you love God and you want to obey His Word and Live by His principles: "Let each one [give] as he has made up his own mind and purposed in his heart, not reluctantly or sorrowfully or under compulsion, for God loves (He takes pleasure in, prizes above other things, and is unwilling to abandon or to do without) a cheerful (joyous, “prompt to do it”) giver [whose heart is in his giving]" (2 Corinthians 9:7 Amplified Bible, Classic Edition).
• Types of Giving
- Tithes (Malachi 8-12)
- Offerings (Deuteronomy 16:16,17)
a. Worship offerings (Deuteronomy 16:16,17)
b. Offerings to the needy (Proverbs 28:27)
c. Project offerings (Haggai 1:8; 2:18,19)
d. Offerings to the servants of God (1 Corinthians 9:13,14; Philippians 4:10-19; 1 Samuel 9:7,8).
EVERY type of Giving as highlighted above has a reward attached to it.
THERE is nothing you give as commanded by God that would not be rewarded.
C. Favour
- What cannot be gotten or achieved through the hard-work of ten years could be gotten or made possible in a month through Divine Favour.
- Favour is an approval of God on one's life. If God's favour is on your Life, people will prefer what you do to that of others.
IF God's favour is on your Life, whatever you do is accepted by people. - Favour is given without merits, however, it can be provoked.
• How to provoke God's favour
a. Seed sowing: Giving of your substance, money or other material gifts, is a way of provoking God's favour. WHOEVER would attract favour should live Giving: 4 Now the king [Solomon] went to Gibeon to sacrifice there, for that was the great high place: SOLOMON OFFERED A THOUSAND BURNT OFFERINGS ON THAT ALTAR. 5 At Gibeon THE LORD APPEARED TO SOLOMON IN A DREAM BY NIGHT; AND GOD SAID, “ASK! WHAT SHALL I GIVE YOU?” (1 Kings 3:4,5 NKJV)
b. Heart to bless others: If you have the heart to lift others, bless them, and assist them to fulfil their visions or be what God wanted them to be; you cannot but attract God's favour.
c. Humility provokes favour: If you are meek, you always want God to lead you. You would not do a thing without asking Him. WHEN His will is known to you, you always want to obey, and do whatever He says—that is humility in His sight.
THIS will cause Him to favour you: "GOD OPPOSES THE PROUD BUT FAVOURS THE HUMBLE" (James 4:6 NLT).
c. Praise: You also provoke God's favour THROUGH praises and Thanksgivings:
5 Let the peoples praise You, O God; LET ALL THE PEOPLES PRAISE YOU.
6 THEN THE EARTH SHALL YIELD HER INCREASE; GOD, OUR OWN GOD, SHALL BLESS US.
7 GOD SHALL BLESS US, And all the ends of the earth shall fear Him" (Psalm 67:5-7 NKJV)
- Learn to praise and thank God for all His goodness and faithfulness in your Life.
GOD blesses when you praise Him and acknowledge His goodness, faithfulness, and greatness (Psalm 67:5-7).
FOR every result you Get, give all the glory to Him, do not ascribe any to the self. God will not share His glory with any (Isaiah 42:8).
WHEN you are praiseful and thankful you cannot but attract God's favour to yourself.
e. Kingdom mindedness: When you pant after God, your heart is after His work and for the expansion of His kingdom on earth, THIS moves Him to favour you.
GOD made an everlasting covenant with David because he desired to build a Temple FOR Him (2 Samuel chapter 7).
D. Impartation:
- Another factor for success is impartation. Impartation adds speed to your life.
WHEN an anointed servant of God lays hands on you, it gives supernatural strength, grace, speed, and power to accomplish your vision.
SAMUEL imparted and anointed Saul (1 Samuel 10:1-6); and David (1 Samuel 17:13).
MOSES also imparted Joshua and the spirit of wisdom to fulfil in his assignment came on him: "NOW JOSHUA THE SON OF NUN WAS FULL OF THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM, for Moses had laid his hands on him; so the children of Israel heeded him, and did as the LORD had commanded Moses" (Deuteronomy 34:9). - Power, grace, anointing, and wisdom to fulfil, accomplish, whatever you are assigned to do is transferred or extended through the hands laying exercise, that is, impartation (1 Timothy 4:14; 2 Timothy 1:6).
- Do not despise impartation, the HAND laying exercise.
WHAT you do not respect you cannot attract.
WHAT you despise, you cannot receive. - Whenever you meet a genuine Minister of God, who has the grace of God on their lives, or such come your way happenstance, you should approach such with a desire to receive.
THERE are hands that God works through: "And so it was, WHEN MOSES HELD UP HIS HAND, THAT ISRAEL PREVAILED; and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed" (Exodus 17:11).
