When a believer is faced with a difficulty in life, all the person needs to go to God in prayer. When the Lord Jesus was traveling on a ship with His disciples, there was a great storm that want to capsule the ship, and the disciples were very afraid. The word of God let us know that His followers came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.
The good thing about calling upon the Lord in difficult times is that He is always ready to attend to us. Some believers pretend that everything is going on well, even in the presence of God, whereas they may be having serious spiritual, physical, marital, and even financial problems.
In the case of the disciples of Jesus Christ, they cried to Him for help; they told Him precisely how they felt about the storm. The Lord Jesus reacted to their cry and stilled the storm.
ln 1 Samuel 1:9-20, we can see a thing we can do when we need a miracle. Hannah needed a child but for so many years, she had been going to Shiloh until that blessed year when she discovered she needed to do what she hadn't been doing before which was fervent and heartfelt prayer.
The Lord has promised never to leave us nor forsake His children so, whenever you are confronted with any difficulty, call on Him and He will answer you.
God has promised to never fail us nor forsake us but that doesn't mean that we won't have trouble. God seldom takes away the trouble right when we ask him. God often has something for us to learn from it. He wants to strengthen our faith. Make us more like Jesus.
