One of the attributes that made Elisha is that he was very hard-working. If the Lord chooses to bless you today but you are a lazy person, you will never get the blessing. If you certainly want extraordinary blessings, then you must be ready to work very hard.
Elisha didn't walk around lazily and tell his father's laborers what to do; rather he worked along with them.
All of the Lord Jesus’ disciples were very hard-working too. He called each of his disciples while they were busy working. Peter was a good fisherman before Jesus called him, Matthew too was also busy collecting tithe when he was called by the Lord. Christianity doesn't tell anyone to stop working.
Some people would constantly make positive confessions without working very hard to back their confessions. They would spend many years saying “I am a millionaire and have a good car by faith” without working hard to back their confession.
In the Long run, they stayed as poor as they were at the beginning of their confessions. If you decide not to very work hard and you go about declaring that you have claimed the car of your dreams by faith, the only vehicle you will end up having will be your two legs. Another attribute that made Elisha great is that he was a cheerful giver.
As soon as Elisha was called, he arranged a feast and fed all his people. As you diligently work and give cheerfully to God’s project as well as the needy other you, the Lord will bless you tremendously, in the mighty name of Jesus.
