Some believers feel that they have outgrown far above the need for counselors in their lives, but this is further from the truth. The unfortunate thing is that such believers who mistakenly think this way gradually progress to the degree of believing that they can also live their Christian lives in isolation.
The outcome of this effect is that they cease fellowshipping with other Christians, again to our Lord’s injunction in Hebrews 10:25.
Every one of us will often need a counselor eventually in our life till we see Jesus in glory.
Isaiah 9:2 says that the individuals who walked in darkness have seen a great light, and the people who live in the land of the shadow of Death have received the light of life.
The truth is that Jesus is the Counselor of counselors. How yielded are you to the advice the Lord gives you through His word, through the voice of the Holy Spirit inside you, and through the people the Lord has placed around you? If you don't receive the Lord's counsel, His gentle Spirit won't force you, but you will bear the consequences that follow.
God guides us through his word and his spirit. Most people have no need for a counselor.
