NOT THE BUILDING BUT YOUR BODY.

So many of us Christian become worried with feelings of guilt and shame when it appears that we had not been to church in few weeks or sometimes months. We often shy away from people to continue with what takes the most part of our time so people do not ask us why we do not go to church anymore.

It is a thing of concern for almost every Christian not to go to 'church'. But let me make you understand that the God of the universe is not after your being present at church or not. He is after a continuous fellowship with you because he doesn't stay at the church but in the heart of men. Gone are the days when the Spirit of God stayed in the Church, in the Holies of Holies to be only accessed by the Chief Priest. Everyone then hears only want the chief priest communicated to them. This prompted their need to always be in Church.

You are the temple/ church of the living God. God dwells in holy vessels, therefore, he can be sought anywhere, and at anytime. He is not restricted to that building that has been named church. So let not your heart be troubled when situation warrants you staying at home for weeks, or months. Your individual fellowship with God matters to him than being a church goer with nothing to show fort. Be that Christian who would stay at home but still a fire for God. Be that Christian who would dig deep into the deep. secrets of God while at home. Be that Christian who enjoys worshipping God alone than in a crowd. In your personal fellow with God, you can move mountains, perform signs and wonders, have a deep insight into God's word and enjoy a victorious Christian life. Until you come to this understanding and level, that guilt and shame would remain.

The flip side of this is that you still need to be at the built church. You need to fellowship with the brethren, you need not forsake the gathering of believers because The Word encourages it. There are some times you need the testimony of a fellow believer to help your faith come alive, there are times you need to hear God's word from a different perspective, there are times you.need to worship the father with the brethren (this is a different dimension of worship experience).

In as much as it is necessary that you be at the built church, you need not use that as a yardstick to measure your right standing with God. Your personal fellowship with God is more important.

God loves you just as you are, you too can have that personal relationship with Him. You too can personalize God in yourself and home.
