HE IS RISEN

Whom are you seeking?” She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, “Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away.” 16 Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to Him, “Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher). 17 Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’ ”

Matthew 28:5-7 (NKJV) But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7 And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you.”

Our Jesus is not in a tomb!  He is risen!  He is risen indeed!  He has conquered death, and God has placed His seal of approval on Him by raising Him from the dead.  We need not fear, Jesus has done it all for us!  He has conquered sin, death, and the grave.  For those of us who believe on Him, He has tasted death for us, so that on the day that we pass from this life to be with Him, there will be no fear.

So rejoice today, as Mary and the others did that saw Him on that day.  He is risen!  He is risen indeed!

CONFESSION:  Our Jesus is alive!  As I read these verses of scripture, I see the amazing love that God has for me.  Because He is risen, I will rise with Him one day!
