This is based on a true story, following the life of a prominent user who's been busily scamming the Newcomers' Community and Crypto Academy for a while now.
He is... "The Professor"...
After a frantic Day 4, the earlier recap and Scammers Academy was useful for me to take stock of where we are. A lot's happened in 4 days, surely day 5 will be calmer.
If you missed our recap of proceedings so far, please take a look and if you have time, take part in our Scammers Academy Homework Task 1.

A relatively quiet today. "The Professor" and his "Assistant" tired from yesterday's proceedings.

Some interesting filenames considering that Account 12 posted Achievement 2 before Account 10 did - It appears that both posts were prepared before logging in and posting them. Possibly in an attempt to avoid yesterday's mistakes.
Mistakes happen though... Account 14's Achievement 2 contains screenshots that are clearly from another user (as they still have the other user's account name displayed). Is it a coincidence that this other user is an "associate"/"alter-ego" of "The Professor"? (Who hasn't had their Achievement 2 validated yet.) - And rather amusingly, is stood in exactly the same place as Accounts 1 and 2 with a WhatsApp filename of IMG-20211112-WA0025.jpg.
Is "The Professor" getting sloppy? All roads seem to keep leading back to him.
From a previous post, I thought that the professor had received information that he had been exposed and had ceased his activities. But no, the blockbuster continues.

I'm posting a few days behind actual events. My intention was to catch you up and we could watch things unfold together but unfortunately... "The Professor" has been told and therefore, the
investigationstory has been ruined and we'll never know if these 14 accounts really were "The Professor's" or not.Which is a shame, because this level of evidence would have been very useful in proving his guilt beyond any doubt whatsoever.
I'll have to make sure that information isn't shared with people who can do something about it (and then fail to do anything about it) in future ๐ก

Oh, the operation failed ๐ฑ. So sorry ๐ข. But while reading "Day 1", I thought that if this story is published openly, there will be "good people"๐ฉ. These "good people" are everywhere, in any team, they gladly give out information.
But the "professor" is now on your hook. It will be difficult for him not to use the main account and it will be difficult for him to conduct honest activities. He will lie down on the bottom, and then betray himself again. He will not be able to tolerate for a long time, the desire for easy profit will eat him from within.

He knows that I know. He probably doesn't know how much I know though.
If he's wise, he'll be reading this. If he is and is willing to stop his scamming, then...
I'd like him to upvote any of my "Professor" series using his profile with the guy stood with a blue shirt, wearing a blue backpack in front of a CocaCola vending machine. He'll know the one. The photo's identical to his profile of a guy in the exact same place wearing a purple and red chequered shirt posted a day later.

And there's probably a lot more you know and you're not sharing yet, I'll keep up to date with this, lol

but to be honest, those new comer program is not working. the idea is great but a lot of people are taking advantages and making fake accounts. and people who are verifying those accounts are not doing the good job either... ๐คซ that is why we have so many spams and stolen contents in our community ๐๐๐

It's such an insignificant amount though when it comes to the volumes being farmed and withdrawn elsewhere. It's the insignificance of it that led me to stop smashing poor people for plagiarising $0.02. I thought this case looked like fun though ๐คฃ It's a shame that it will end soon โน๏ธ
I think it's an impossible job. Many of them know that some users are suspicious but can't provide the evidence required. And most introduction posts in isolation look ok ๐คทโโ๏ธ

yes, that is my point. it is impossible to know who they say they are so why even verify them? verified means nothing.
I just hate fake people spamming our community everyday.. so annoying ๐ฉ

Ha ha, yes. Very true.
I'm with you on this one and I think every other community leader feels the same. Whilst Steemit focuses its recruitment on "recruiting" anybody with the promise of "getting rich", we'll see the quality continue to diminish. If community leaders allow this in their communities, their communities will go to shit too. Especially when a community starts doing well (like yours is), you'll start attracting people that you don't want, who are desperate for rewards.
I've thought for a long time now about creating a "Steemit Oasis" - a community by invite only - everybody's a moderator who can mute and ban as they wish. I might create it and I think you've earned yourself an invitation ๐คฃ
