We are definitely heading towards Summer and the Sun, after being 57% self powered in September 2024 we jumped to 75% self powered in October 2024.
Our house has a 5 kWh system with a Tesla Powerwall 2 which stores power for us to use when the Sun goes down.

Looking back to October 2023 we were 79% self powered, so October 2024 was not quite as good but still good at 75% self powered.
October as a month was pretty good sun wise although we did have periods of cloud & rain, we still generated more power than we did in July & August of this year combined.
We pulled 64 kWh from the grid which will result in a bill of around $12 plus the monthly line charge of $41.

Here is what the powerwall charged and discharged in the month of October 2024.

In September we generated 541 kWh and in October we generated 677 kWh, this number should hopefully go up in the next few months.

845 kWh in September was used by our House and this has dropped to 699 kWh , this is about using less power for heating or using the clothes dryer.
So overall pretty happy with this last month and looking forward to see what November 2024 brings, in November 2023 we were 86% self powered.

Yeah the APP can be very addictive and i still check mine numerous times a day 😁
The powerwall battery will hold 14 kWh of power and discharge a max of 5 kWh at one time.

The newer powerwall can discharge 10 kWh at one time which is good for heavier loads.

Awesome. In America, we mount the units a lot higher from the floor because of floods and other liquids and the stuff does not like water or other liquids. I was, have been thinking about how to make the batteries waterproof. I was watching Jurassic Park last night again and received a refresher course in chaos theory one more time. So it's always harder to do than it looks but if I don't do it, it won't be a suicide.

Tesla power wall I am hearing that for the first time, it stores a lot of charges from the look, I know how it last is determined by the appliances used, so how many appliances can be used at a time and how long does it last if it is lighting only bulbs and mobile devices

For the above it would last a couple of days
the powerwall will discharge 5 kWh maximin at one time, it will run both our air conditioners at the same time.
But the more power load we ask it to provide the quicker the battery level will go down.
