Sameera was the youngest of two siblings. Her father was a doctor and her two brothers were engineers. She completed her schooling and went to university to fulfill her dream of becoming a teacher. She had dreamed of becoming a teacher since she was a child and her mother was also a retired teacher. It was when she went to university that she met Samuel. Samuel was a year senior to her, his father was a retired army officer and his mother was a housewife.

Samuel's only dream was to serve his country as an army officer. However, his mother did not like this dream of Samuel's. Because Samuel's father was injured in a bomb attack while serving in the army and had to live without one leg, Samuel's mother was very sad about this. Therefore, she did not want her son to join the army.

As time passed, Samuel and Sameera gradually became lovers. Sameera liked Samuel's dream of becoming an army officer and she gave Samuel all the support he needed. Thus, they reached their final year exams at university, as time passed by without them realizing it. Both Samuel and Sameera scored well and passed their final year exams with flying colors, and they got the opportunity to fulfill both their dreams. Later, Samuel submitted his applications to the army to become an army officer, and Sameera also got the opportunity to work as a teacher in a school after a while.

Meanwhile, Samuel introduced Sameera to his family, and the people of Samuel's house liked Sameera very much. Samuel had only one sister. She was already married. After a few months, Samuel was also able to join the army, and Samuel's mother reluctantly had to bless her son. Samuel's military training period was a year and it was in a difficult area. Somehow, Sameera made up her mind and said goodbye to Samuel, hoping that now was the best time to tell her parents about Samuel.

Even though Sameera was from a Christian family, she gradually got used to the customs of Samuel's family, who were Hindus. Even when Samuel was not there, she did not forget to go to Samuel's house and spend time with his family. Even though Sameera told her parents about Samuel, her father strongly disapproved of the relationship. Her father did not want his only beloved daughter to marry an army officer.

And Sameera's two brothers also did not like this. Because Sameera's father was afraid that if Sameera married an army officer, she would have to be alone someday. Because everyone knows that the lives of army soldiers are lost at any time in war. Therefore, Sameera's father strongly disapproved of the relationship. He did not want to see his only daughter suffer. But Sameera did not stop loving Samuel. She was also able to maintain their relationship while hiding it from her family.

Samuel's training period was over. He was impatiently waiting to see Sameera and his family. Somehow, after a year, Sameera was able to see her lover's face and spend time with him. She went to meet him secretly from her parents and two brothers, and it was near the "Turret stairs". Not many people knew about that place, and Samira and Samuel were not pressured by anyone to talk from there. So the two of them spent a lot of time on the turret stairs, very affectionate.
