Photography Contest: Christmas Tree

Right from childhood I have always desire to see beautiful Christmas decorations, take pictures with them and tell my friends at last I did, whenever my colony of friends met after Christmas holidays they will come around telling me how they went to the park to play and get gifts from Santa Claus, in Nigeria we call them father Christmas, the man with a big belly with lots of goodies in the big bag whose identity is not reveal but mine was different all I could brag about was the different delacies, the kind of ingredient mum uses in making salad, I will name ones like sweet maize, hot dogs, kidney beans and most of which I can't remember now just to belong in the inn group, I feel whenever you see a Christmas tree you will see santa claus and if not certainly check the base of the tree and get your goodies.

After many years of longing to see a Christmas tree and see if my gift was hung on it as I have always believed from childhood, I was opportune to see it last year as I approached the church for cleanup. A girl whom I nicknamed Gashina after a song she loves singing approached me and said, Uncle, have you ever seen a Christmas tree? I said to her, Nah, not even at this age.

She said to me, Come, and I will show you one. I went with her to the altar, and I was in such great awe. Oh Christmas tree, you have been a speck in my life hidden for so long; now I can see, feel, and touch. I can now brag to my friend, Hey, you come on today; I saw a Christmas tree. It seems late because they have all grown up and may not make as much meaning as it should be many years ago.

I shook the tree, and the bell rang so loud. It's a calling; Santa is calling; Christmas is calling; the Christmas tree has packages on its base; come and make your choice. We love the Christmas tree because it has this set of colours that best decorates it, the glowing star on top indicating the saviour, the brightest star, with eminence surpassing all other stars now and ever. Amen.

The picture is from my gallery, a year old, it looks blurry; the weather wasn't bright and I never had a good camera at this time, I would love to see entries from @fortwise09 @vivigebelis and @vickmoon soon

Saludos amigo aunque la imagen que nos compartes está borrosa, la emoción que nos transmites es muy especial.

Me alegra saber que lograste ver tu primer Árbol Navideño y alegrar tu corazón.
Exitos y suerte en el concurso 🤗

The image is blurry because at the time of snapping this the weather wasn't that bright as you know in Nigeria we had harmattan which made the atmosphere cloudy, it was amazing seeing a Christmas tree physically and not on TV, thank you so much for stopping by
