General Motors has unveiled an electric Hummer with an autopilot, three motors with a total capacity of over a thousand horsepower, separate steering of all four wheels and a collapsible panoramic roof.

The original Hummer is the civilian version of the military Humvee. The second and third Hummer models were civilian SUVs, designed on the Chevrolet SUV platform. However in 2010 the production ended.

At the end of 2019, it was announced that General Motors was going to revive the brand in the form of an electric pickup that could compete with the Tesla Cybertruck. Now the company has officially presented a new electric pickup.

The new truck has a large body with a length of 5.5 meters, a wheelbase of 3.5 meters and a height of just over two meters.

The two older versions of the car will have three electric motors, and the younger ones will have just two.

The power of the older versions is more than a thousand horsepower, and it will accelerate to one hundred kilometers per hour in about three seconds. They will also travel more than 560 kilometers on a single charge.

The Hummers will also cameras behind the front axle, so that the driver can see the terrain directly under the wheels and in front of them and calculate their maneuvers.

The body also has features: a panoramic roof over the front and rear rows, which can be removed to convert the car into a convertible, two luggage compartments at the front and rear, and headlights with charging indicators.

Like other modern vehicles, the Hummer has an advanced Super Cruise driver assistance system.

It uses cameras and a radar to drive on compatible highways in the United States, for which the company's specialists have compiled high-precision maps using lidars.

The system, unlike Tesla Autopilot, allows you not to keep your hands on the steering wheel, but, like all serial counterparts today, requires you to follow the road.

The first version of the electric Hummer will cost 112.6 K dollars and it will be released in the fall of 2021. Then the company will realease one every next year until 2024, the last of which will cost 80 thousand dollars.
