Finally. The Progress M-UM module ship successfully docked with the nadir assembly of the Nauka multipurpose laboratory module.
Structurally, “Prichal” nodal module will become part of the Russian segment of the station in early December, when the instrument-assembly compartment will undock from the Progress spacecraft.
The Prichal is a spherical pressurized compartment with one active docking station, that will join to the Nauka.
The module also has five passive docking stations for receiving spacecraft and, perhaps, other modules.
The module also includes a system for ensuring a thermal regime, means for providing a gas composition and transit lines for refueling.
The nodal module will be the last in the Russian segment of the ISS, unless otherwise decided.
Initially, it was assumed that the Scientific and Energy Module (SEM) would join it.
But NEM was eventually proposed to make the base module of the new ROSS station.
The Progress M-UM cargo vehicle with the Prichal left for the ISS on November 24.
And the next day the Progress MS-17 cargo ship undocked from Nauka to make room for it.
Now the Progress M-UM module ship successfully docked with the nadir node of the Nauka multipurpose laboratory module.

It is planned that the first ship will dock at the Berth on March 18 next year. It will be Soyuz MS-21.
