Super computer
Supercomputers are large systems that are designed with very high computational power to solve complex scientific and industrial problem such as quantum mechanics, climate and weather forecasting, oil and gas exploration, nuclear weapons and reactors, research on new chemical compounds and physical simulations. With rapid development of the science and technology the super computers are also developing rapidly. Now, there are computers with very high computational power. Generally computational power is measured in FLOPS (Floating Point Operations Per Second). A normal computer (Intel i7–7700K, 4.4 MHz) used in home and work is about 250 GFLOPS. Now a day’s supercomputers processing speed is in petaFLOPS range. Now you can imagine how much fast they are.

All computing systems are fundamentally store and manipulate information basically. normal computer system manipulates individual bits, store information as binary 0 and 1 states. To do this, they use quantum bits, or qubits. It is control microscopic particle like atoms, electron, photon etc. to get very high computational power. It is a combination of physics, mathematics and computer science. It has many advantage such as high computational power, less energy consumption and many others. Quantum computing that has more potential to solve problems that cannot be solved by classical ones. Now a day’s quantum computers may have about 50 qubits. That will make them incredibly powerful. every qubit you add will increase processing capacity exponentially. But they also have really high error rates also. Quantum computers are in experimental stage. Bur hopefully it will commercialise very soon.
