NASA plans to launch a mission to Titan, a moon of Saturn in 2027 that will reach the moon in 2034. The mission craft will include a probe called "Dragonfly" that is a rotorcraft with 8 rotors that will explore the surface of Titan for signs of life and organic molecules.
Titan is an icy moon of Saturn that is covered in methane, ice and water beneath the ice. When the mission reaches the surface of Titan, Dragonfly (the rotorcraft) will survey the surface of the icy moon for approximately 3 years and look at the potential for life there and the potential for the emergence of life on the moon.
I am excited for this mission due to the potential to find life and organic compounds that could support or generate life. This will be a mission to watch, and it's a decade away now. Way to go NASA!
