British company ULEMCo unveiled a prototype hydrogen ambulance at the UN Climate Summit in Glasgow. The ambulance can travel up to 483 kilometers at a top speed of 145 kilometers per hour.

Nowadays, different hydrogen cars are being developed: SUVs, cars, buses and trucks. Like electric vehicles, their wheels are powered by electric motors.

But they get electricity by combining hydrogen with oxygen on the go. Compared to electric cars, hydrogen cars fill up faster and are therefore better suited for long-distance transport.

ULEMCo announced last year that it plans to build a hydrogen ambulance for Britain's National Health Service, which is looking for ways to cut emissions.

It already has an all-electric ambulance in Birmingham, but the hydrogen one could work not only in the city, but also travel to the countryside.

The prototype of the hydrogen car ULEMCo showed at the UN Climate Summit in Glasgow. The car received a 92-kilowatt battery and a 30-kilowatt fuel cell unit.

It can travel up to 483 kilometers at a maximum speed of 145 kilometers per hour and carry at least 900 kilograms. The first test will be from Glasgow to London.
