victorian style

Hello friends! today I'm posting one of my newest drawings, the inspiration came from the victorian era and the amazing ornaments made on this time. It reminds me of nature and all the fluid lines are so pleasing to watch.

Here are some images of the process of this piece.

First of all I did the sketch with a 2B graphite pencil. The brand that I normally use for graphite pencils is KOH-I-NOOR or Derwent, they are affordable and good quality.

Once the sketch was done I started outlining all the lines of the drawing with a black pen, I used 3 different lines, a 0.4 line for all the outline, a 0.2 line for the details and the "shadows" of the piece and a 0.8 line to create more depth. For ink pens I only use one brand, the name of the brand is MICRON and a lot of artists use this pens, they are really cheap and really good.

with all the outline and all the depth created I started painting the background black.

A couple of hours later and now with the drawing all completed the final thing to do was to scan the piece and edit a little bit the image.
The final result is at the top of this post!
