The Chuao brotherhood is over 300 years old, but its exact start date is unknown; their clothing is multicolored and the masks are made using the colors black, white and red, in addition they have a tricolor ribbon tied between the horns. The dance is accompanied by the ringing of the drum, the same load tied a string of zamuro feathers called chirriador, which produces a greater vibration and accompanies the cuatro.
