The position of the tongue while pronouncing the /j/ sound
The sound /j/ is the usual sound for the letter y at the beginning of a word. See the following words and try to pronounce the sound /j/ correctly in each of them.

The /j/ sound also occurs before the letter u in words like unoin, use and computer, even though there is no letter representing it in these words. It is the natural sound of the letter i in view, onion, etc. Now try to pronounce the following words, making sure the sound /j/ in each of them.
Use /ju:z/
