Desert Rose
When I first took this picture, I thought it was a hibiscus of some type. In researching this post, I found out that it is a species of Adenium and is considered a succulent! It is also called:
- Sabi Star
- Impala Lily
- Kudu Lily
- Mock Azalea
- Desert Azalea
This one was growing outdoors on the island of Maui, it was too beautiful not to snap a picture of. They originated in Africa and Arabia; but have spread to tropical and sub-tropical regions around the world, as long as the temperature doesn't drop below 10℃. In researching this, I also saw that some people grow them as bonsai - which sounds amazing.
Please feel free to use this image and enjoy the pretty flowers! Have a lovely day.
