I'm still practing my digital art and my biggest problem is the amount of options. There's just so much. Too many options can make things difficult if you're like me and want to try everything at once.
This only means that repainting the same horse has happened repeatedly for me because I always want to tweak and try out something new. Experimenting is good but again if you're an experimenter who needs instant gratification at the same time, it's not really a win win situation.
After many failed attempts at painting a horse and not finding my style and direction with it, I was able to paint a bird. I'm still struggling to understand what direction to take digitally . I want to use more rough brushes to get the painterly style and at the same time I want flat illustrative pieces. My hands and eyes on the other hand keep forcing me towards realism. I'll spend some time imitating pinterest art to wean myself off this but in the meantime you can view my painting below:
