Mast Tree

Also known as the Ashoka tree, Mast Trees grow vertically and have a weeping effect to them. The new growth is bright green, the leaves are glossy and it is a relatively clean tree. These tropical plants can be used as accents or as a privacy screen for narrow spaces because of its upright habit. Mast Trees can be used instead of Italian Cypress since they grow tall and narrow like them but are better adapted to South Florida's climate. Mast Trees can grow to about 30 feet but may be trimmed to be kept shorter
