This photo was taken at a high mountain lake in Glacier National Park. The lake is doted with small iceberg like ice chunks year round. This photo was taken in the month of August, which is typically the hottest time of the year in the United States. The lake is surrounded on three sides by a towering sheer rockface which rises roughly 1,000 vertically.. This wall of rock protects the tiny icebergs from southern sun exposure. In the background you can see several families of mountain goats feeding in the lush grass that propagates lakeside.
