Bellis Perennis AKA English Daisy

Here is a beautiful specimen from a local park. Other popular names for this common flowering plant are bruisewort, and woundwort. The Daisy is native to North, Central, and West Europe, Australia, And North America.

The Daisy is a perennial herbaceous plant with rosettes of small rounded or spoon-shaped leaves that are approximately 1-3/4" inches long. The species is known to colonize gardens, flower beds, and lawns, and is difficult to eradicate by mowing.

#FunFact The English Daisy exhibits a phenomenon known as heliotropism, where the flowers follow the position of the sun in the sky.
