Aglaonema (Sri sustenance) is a popular ornamental plant from the taro tribe or Araceae. The original habitat of this plant is under tropical rain forests, grows well in areas with low light intensity and high humidity. This plant has fibrous roots and stems that are not cambium (woody). The leaves are pinnate and have transport vessels in the form of xylem and phloem which are arranged randomly.
Now a wide variety of hybrid Aglaonema has been developed with a very attractive plant appearance with a variety of colors, shapes and sizes of leaves so that it is much different from the natural species.
