Pacar Air or in Latin Impatiens balsamina L. is a plant originating from South Asia and Southeast Asia but has been introduced to America in the 19th century.
In the area we call it kingkong plant. This plant is a very fertile plant in our area in Indonesia, precisely at the foot of Mount Slamet Cilongok, Banyumas.
This plant has flowers that are white, red, purple, or pink.
The shape of the flower resembles a small orchid. The height of this plant can reach one meter with thick but not woody stems and jagged leaves.
This plant is very favored by bees and other insects that help pollinate it. However, this plant cannot live in a dry environment. That's why our area, which often rains, grows and thrives.
How to breed this plant is very easy, namely by spreading the seeds that have turned yellow or by popping the fruit.
Beautiful flowers, thanks for sharing.
