This Canna indica is commonly known as Indian shot, African arrowroot, Sierra Leone arrowroot, edible canna, purple arrowroot which is a plant species in the family Cannaceae.
It’s native to much of South America, the Central America, the West Indies & the Mexico.
It’s edible, prepared for human eating by boiling or baking them until they basically turn from white to slightly translucent.
