Its common names include firebush, hummingbird bush, redhead & scarlet bush.
Firebush is a fast-growing, hardy & showy evergreenshrub to small tree found in hardwood hammocks & coastal to upland forests which blooms during spring through fall but can bloom year-round in warmer climes around the globe.
Its cool nectar-filled flowers vary in size, length, attracting both butterflies & hummingbirds.
