Euphorbia tithymaloides is a perennial succulent spurge belonging to the family of Euphorbiaceae. It's native to tropical & subtropical North America & Central America. An erect shrub, the plant is also known by the scientific name Pedilanthus tithymaloides. However, the genus Pedilanthus has been subsumed into the genus Euphorbia & is more correctly known by its new name (Euphorbia tithymaloides). It's medicinal which the latex has been used topically to treat calluses, ear ache, insect stings, ringworm, skin cancer, toothache, umbilical hernias & warts.
