Green parrot or not - this is (in my ears) a "speaking photo".
It tells me a lament about green and not green, about living and dead, about coming and going.
The bird seems to reflect on the dried branch, it seems to ask us: is this necessary? It seems to be a little bit astonished, not angry. It seems to ask: what is life if death is part of it?
That words I could hear at first glance, so therefore I call it a speaking photo. This is (in my opinion) more than just a nice photo, much more than just one more idyllic picture - it is on the border to art or even beyond this line because of its 'philosophical message'...
Besides of the above described, I cannot recognize if we are in a zoo or in some forest.

Hello again and thank you very much for your comment. I haven't seen it that way yet. I was thrilled when I got the bird in front of the lens. A very nice description, I think. Now I think the photo is even better than before. By the way, one of my favorite photos. This photo was also taken near the Amazon in a huge outdoor enclosure.
