HOW I MADE THIS SIMPLE FAIRY-LOOKING HOUSE FROM CARBOARD AND PLASTIC BOTTLE!!!

in hive-109427 •  4 years ago

Hi everyone, hope you all doing well.

Today, I am going to show you how I made this fairy-looking house from cheap materials like cardboard and plastic bottles. You may have seen crafts like these before on youtube or tv programs with titles like You can do it in 5 minutes or something, But I wanted to tell you this in an actual scenario it won't work like that. We can make crafts like this in a very short time only if all the materials are properly arranged like cardboard sheets are taken with correct measurements, the glue we use sticks instantaneously, etc. Even our mindset also contributes to the speed of the process.

Here, I just took more than two hours for completing this one. But after the finish, I feel it worth it.

So, now let's come to the point. here is my creation...

I made this according to my need and for showing you, how I made it, so the size ratio I used to build this was too small. You could adjust the size of your craft according to your needs.

Materials required

Pencil
Marker pen(optional)
Paper
Scissors
Glue
Plastic Bottle
Tissue Paper
Card Board
Brush
Acrylic colors
Maskin Tape
Blade

Nb,- Most of the materials used are optional, you could use them according to your needs.

Step.1
Take the plastic bottle and cut the most symmetric part to a shape like in the picture. Take the cardboard and make the platform according to your size. A layer of two sheets combined will give you more strength to the base.

Step.2
Fix the bottle part on the base by any means(I used masking tape). Make a slit on the lower middle portion of the bottle to fix a cardboard piece.

Step.3
Now follow the pictures below and cut a piece of cardboard and turn into a shape which suits to form of the wall for the house. Fix the wall near the cylindrical shape.

Now fix the roof part into the slit we already made.

Step.4
Take a rectangular shaped piece and bend it into a shape which fits to the bottle top which we could use as the roof, and fix it via any means.

Step.5
Take a plate or cup and pour some glue. You can add some water into the glue if you want it low viscous. Then take the tissue paper in small pieces and paste it all over the total craft we just made. This will give some uniformity and strength to the work piece. After finished pasting let it dry for some time.

And draw the shape of windows and door as per your design requirement on it with a pencil or marker.

Step.6
Take some slits from the cardboard and paste it along the windows and doors you just drawn.

Step.7
Take a cardboard sheet and remove one layer of it and we get something like a wavy form. Then cut them into pieces and paste it over the roofs like the pictures.

Use some more board pieces to make an edge or boundary for the plot.

Step.8
Now the time for painting.
Take the acrylic or poster colors without adding water apply it directly over the craft you created as per your colouring preferences.

So finally you will have a model like this

So that was my model. This can be keep in our showcase or if we make a beautiful model we could even gift it to someone in proper occasions.

I hope you would try one to make.

Like always I had also took a selfie with my work and created a gif to get a quick understanding of crafting process.
