Contest #12: Paper Well by @hasini

Hello all creative people,

Draft crearte always bring us most creative contest for us and it helps to be an artistic person. This time too I wanted to create something that I haven't done before. The material I have to use for this contest is recycling paper. I have used some old news paper to make a well. I can use it as a decorative item for my salon.

Here how I did it,

The tools I have used

🔹Scissors
🔹Ruler
🔹Glue Gun
🔹Card Board
🔹Small cord
🔹Paint
🔹Paint brush
🔹Small piece of Rigifoam

Step 01: Making the well

Take a news paper and cut 96 pieces with 12.5 cm width & 5 cm hight.

Then take each paper and fold it twice from the long side,

Mark center line by folding the paper by half,

Now fold each ends to the center line,

This process should apply to all 96 pieces.

Now we have to do the weaving with the folded papers. Take 2 pieces and weave the loops by inserting each loop into another from the clearly folded ends. Take one more piece and continue the strap for 32 pieces. Once finish you will have 03 straps as to No.03

Now colour the straps. I have used yellow and brown to colour my straps.

Now join the ends of each straps and now you have round shape straps.

As a final step, Glue 03 round straps on top of other.

Step 02: Roof of the well

Take a news paper and cut 30 pieces with the measurement of 14cm width and 7cm hight. Take one piece of paper and roll the paper with the help of knitting needle and apply glue to the end to secure the roll.

Take two card board paper as a roof, measurement should be 14cm width and 7cm hight for each. Apply glue to the card board and put the rolling papers on it. Each roof should have 15 rolls.

Attach both card board with the help of another paper, now it will look like a real roof.

Step 03: Roof attachment to the well

To make the attachment strong we have to use at least 03 roll papers from 2 sides of the wall. Glue it on both side and insert another roll right in the upper center to support the roof. Now position the roof.

Step 04: Making the Bucket

Make another 20 paper rolls which has 4cm hight. Glue it to a flexible paper. Use 3cm round shape rigiform and join the rolls. Then add a code to hang the bucket on the well.

That's it, this is my decorative well 😊
